We are stripping away complex choreography to focus entirely on connection, control, and the actual mechanics of Urban Kiz social dancing—this time with a hyper-focus on how to physically articulate the layers of a track. Here is what we are hitting over the next 6 weeks: 🔹 Week 1: Slow Motion - Learn to slowly and continuously transfer your weight across multiple beats without losing balance. - Calibrate a responsive, suspended frame to match subtle, unhurried shifts instantly. 🔹 Week 2: Smooth Textures - Strip away sharp stops to create sweeping, continuous lines that flow naturally. - Practice catching your partner's momentum and smoothly steering it in a new direction. 🔹 Week 3: Speed and Syncopations - Execute rapid, double-time footwork (1/2 beats) while keeping your chest connection calm and still. - Master the core control needed to signal and react to sudden speed changes on a dime. 🔹 Week 4: Sharp Textures - Drop your center of gravity to execute clean, sudden freezes safely in any direction. - Master "up and down" blocks to cleanly guide exactly where a leg travels and lifts in space. 🔹 Week 5: Interplay of Speed and Texture - Rotate fluidly mid-movement using elegant pivots, shifting instantly from glides to freezes. - Practice switching your frame on the fly between soft, rolling textures and sharp, locked-in states. 🔹 Week 6: Capstone: Sounds of a Song - Match the architecture of the music in real time—sharp stops for digital beats, glides for vocals. - Move past rigid command-and-response setups to open up a true creative dialogue between both roles. 🗓️ WHEN: Fridays ⏰ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Technical Class ⏰ 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Guided Practica 📍 WHERE: Moova Dance Studio 1500 Alafaya Trail #1016, Oviedo, FL 32765 🎟️ PASSES: • Full 6-Week Package: $75 • Weekly Drop-In: $15 (Open throughout the entire series!)
