The Shandon Neighborhood Council is excited to announce the 2026 Shandon Turkey Trot & Burn 5K! Join us on Black Friday, November 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM for one of Columbia's favorite holiday traditions. Gather your flock and kick off the holiday season with a fun, festive event that brings together neighbors, friends, families, runners, and walkers from across the Midlands and beyond! The Shandon Turkey Trot & Burn 5K has become a beloved community tradition and is now the largest race in Shandon, growing to more than 1,200 participants last year. We are proud of that growth and look forward to continuing to build this special event for years to come. Even more importantly, this race gives back. Proceeds support the Shandon Neighborhood Grant Program, which provides funding to local nonprofit organizations making a meaningful impact throughout our community.
