In preparation for the 2026 Mary S. Stern Lecture series with Atul Gawande, the Symmes Township Branch Library will be hosting a screening of the 2015 documentary Being Mortal with Death Doula Cincinnati. Death Doulas Jen and Shelby will provide an introduction to the film and facilitate a Q&A afterward. This event is presented in connection with the 2026 Mary S. Stern Lecture featuring Atul Gawande, M.D., bestselling author of "Being Mortal." This ticketed event is made possible through an endowment to the The Library Foundation.
