Free Midday Handbell Concerts

What is this?

Handbells aren't just for church or Christmas. Discover the surprising versatility of handbells during this concert series presented by Handbell Musicians of America. From classical masterpieces to today's popular hits, talented ensembles from across the country will showcase the artistry and excitement of handbell music. Each day offers a new musical experience with performances by talented handbell ensembles from across the country. Wednesday features the Bronze Ringers of Floyd Central High School (Knobs, Indiana), followed by the Trinity Ringers of Trinity English Lutheran Church (Fort Wayne, Indiana) on Thursday, Chicago Bronze on Friday and Distinctly Teen with the Handbell Musicians of America All-Stars Choir on Saturday. Performances are from 2 to 4 p.m. each day. Arrive by noon Wednesday through Friday for a free pre-concert demonstration and an up-close look at the musicians and their instruments before the performance begins. Wednesday, July 15-17: Pre-concert demonstration: Noon; Concert: 1 p.m.; Saturday, July 18: 2-4 p.m.
