Week 3 AM Session: Oil Painting

What is this?

Veronique Fournier-Wynne July 6-10 9:00am-Noon Learn to paint realistically with the medium of oil paint. All artists will work at their own learning pace. Choose to draw and paint a still life (bring in your own object or use one of the Academy’s), or paint a portrait. The Academy has a large selection of photographs of portraits and photographs of Old Masters paintings available. For portrait painting we will transfer the image straight to the canvas. Our goal is for students to learn how to mix accurate values and colors in order to create a realistic skin tone. This class is appropriate for young artist 10 years old through teens.
