What is this?
Early childhood is a critical period for children in their development across all domains which collectively build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and well-being. A responsive caregiver is a key factor in promoting a secure attachment and ensuring a child can achieve optimal growth. In this Lighthouse Speaker Presentation, Child First will provide a definition of attachment, factors that impact secure attachment, and discuss how a caregiver can understand the meaning behind challenging behaviors while responding to the children's underlying needs. This presentation will also provide information about Circle of Security Parenting and how the Child First program at Children's Home Society provides support to caregivers and their young children with attachment and trauma-informed interventions at the forefront of their work. This training is available for CHS families only. You can register by going to SkyPrep at https://bit.ly/SkyPrepLogin .
