Summer Camp: It's Alive! A Nature Discovery Camp

What is this?

The Strong National Museum of Play’s It’s Alive summer camp invites kids to discover the wonders of the natural world through play! Campers will explore the vibrant Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden, observe aquatic life up close at the Rainbow Reef aquarium, and meet real animals—such as tortoises, geckos, and snakes. Through hands-on activities, creative exploration, and guided adventures with the museum’s biologist, children will learn about plants and pollinators, arthropods, ocean life, reptiles, and rainforests. The Strong Museum Summer Camp offers unique museum-based learning experiences that will spark the imagination and allow campers to learn and discover through play and exploration. Each week campers will be provided with one-of-a-kind learning opportunities engaging with different museum professionals and exhibits along with teacher-led classroom time to further investigate and expand on these themes. Summer Camp times are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Drop off between 8:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Pick up between 3:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. After care available from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for an additional fee.
