Sound Series: Eli Winter Trio with special guest Clear Creek SP

What is this?

We welcome the Chicago-based Eli Winter Trio, featuring Eli Winter on guitar, Sam Wagster of Fruit Bats on pedal steel guitar and Tyler Damon of Circuit des Yeux on drums. The inventive trio exists at intersections of jazz, folk and rock, with recent performances at eclectic and adventurous music festivals such as Primavera Sound and Big Ears. Their collaborators include Yasmin Williams, Caroline Rose and Ryley Walker and their latest record, A Trick of the Light (Three Lobed Recordings), garnered the following praise from a Pitchfork review: “The cumulative effect is warm and multi-dimensional: the work of an artist who understands there’s as much virtuosity in listening as there is in playing.” Pittsburgh-based duo, Clear Creek SP, opens the evening.
