There are lavender festivals, and there are honey festivals, but this just might be the only lavender and honey festival in the world. It’s free and located right here in Reno. Family-friendly and free to attend, the Sierra Nevada Lavender & Honey Festival is the perfect excuse to spend a summer day getting acquainted with local honey producers, lavender farmers, and the community organizations that support them. Head to scenic and shady Idlewild Park in Reno for a day of crafts, foodie finds, shopping, and more. Live entertainment includes both music and theater performances, along with judging for the lavender bonnet and honey hat contest.
