Originating from Philadelphia, her musical journey began in Los Angeles, influenced by artists like Grover Washington Jr. She has released ten solo albums, achieving significant success on the Billboard Jazz charts, including her #1 hits “Serendipity” and “Stone Cold.” In 2024, her single “The Right Time” topped the charts for eight months, followed by her latest release “Meet Me in Malibu” in 2026. Williams is a versatile musician, playing saxophone, flute, and piano, and has contributed to the works of notable artists like Teena Marie. Her debut album "Saxtress" in 1996 earned her recognition as Best Female Contemporary Jazz Artist.
