National Public Lands Day - Free Admission
What is this?
National parks are America's best idea, and there are more than 400 parks available to everyone, every day. Established in 1994 and held annually on the fourth Saturday in September, National Public Lands Day is traditionally the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort. It celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits. On National Public Lands Day, enjoy free admission to our national parks. In the Tucson area, you can enjoy Saguaro National Park's two districts (Eastside - Rincon Mountain District, and Westside - Tucson Mountain District), Tumacacori National Historical Park, and Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. Have fun and enjoy the health benefits of being outdoors. Check website for times
