What is this?

Memory Café is a social gathering for those with mild cognitive impairment or dementia and their care partner(s). This month we are joined by the Laurelview Ramblers, a trio of experienced “old-time” musicians. Jeff Gushin, fiddle, mandolin, and vocals, is a past member of the Grammy nominated Buzzard Rock String Band. Mike Boerschig, guitar and vocals, is an active member of the Queen City Balladeers, which promotes traditional roots music and live folk performance. He performs solo and in ensembles. Jeff Custis, banjo, fiddle and vocals, is an accomplished banjo player in both bluegrass and clawhammer styles with the Ramblers and with contra dance bands. The Laurelview Ramblers will entertain us with an enjoyable assortment of traditional Americana music dating back to the Civil War up through the “golden” string band era of the 1920s to contemporary folk songs. Throw in some ragtime and jug band for some sing along and toe tappin’ music! Presented by Creative Aging. Memory café is free to attend and open to all adults. Please register as a couple or individual with your email so we can keep you updated. Call 513-369-6095 with any questions.
