Matt Herzog Band ( EP Release Party ) 7:50pm – 9:30pm Join us on the patio at Day Block Brewing on Thursday, July 30, for a special summer evening celebrating the album release of songwriter and guitarist Matt Herzog and his band. Following a solo debut album that spurred five years of performances, songwriter/guitarist Matt Herzog was inspired to record his second album, Under The Stack , which fuses American Rock genres and the soulful, funky-blues sound of Minneapolis. Herzog curated the group of diverse musical backgrounds starting with pocket bassist Tim Kennedy and skilled drummer Graham Peterson delivering the tight, rhythm section. Maia Sletten’s pristine, folksy harmonies complement Matt’s captivating lyrics and crafty guitar hooks while keyboardist George Bergh accompanies it all through melodic, instrumental passages. The addition of a horn section (Brady Moroney/tenor sax, Rob Kocher/trumpet, Brian Robran/trumpet) has expanded the group’s sonic range and live energy.
