Budd Dairy Food Hall is debuting a fully immersive tiki pop-up experience, aptly named “It Ain’t Easy Bein’ Tiki,” which will temporarily transform Simon’s Bar into a vibrant and tropical escape for all to enjoy on the second floor of the food hall. Opening Saturday, March 28, the pop-up will be open Friday and Saturday nights from 6 p.m. to midnight, with free entry for guests 21 and older. This exciting activation invites guests to step into a playful world of tropical escapism, an atmosphere specifically curated to feel like you’ve discovered a dreamlike island oasis right here in Columbus. Guests can explore an exclusive menu of handcrafted island-inspired cocktails, each served in specialty tiki glassware that are topped with dramatic garnishes to elevate the tropical experience. The Toucan Slam mixes Middlewest Pumpernickel Rye with Campari, fresh pineapple, lime and a hint of cinnamon for a bold and tropical twist on a classic cocktail. For those looking for a frozen delight at the tiki-takeover, try the N.A. Pier Pressure Colada, which perfectly blends pineapple juice, coconut cream, lime and demerara brown sugar into a refreshing treat; delicious on its own or add rum, vodka or tequila for an extra kick. To complement the cocktail menu, Budd Dairy's chef partners will offer unique culinary dishes made to pair perfectly with the tropical-themed beverages. Every detail of the pop-up, from the tropical decor to the specially crafted menu, has been thoughtfully curated to create a fully immersive tiki escape for guests to enjoy.
