One of Tallahassee’s most beloved cultural traditions, First Fridays transforms the historic Railroad Square Art District into a lively, walkable celebration of local creativity. Held the first Friday of every month, the free event invites visitors to explore open galleries, artist studios, specialty shops and creative micro-businesses housed in a former warehouse park. Guests can browse handmade art and vintage finds, enjoy live music and street performances, sample diverse local cuisine and food trucks, and soak in some of the best people-watching in the city. Roads close at 6 p.m. to ensure a pedestrian-friendly experience, and the festivities continue rain or shine—comfortable walking shoes encouraged.
