During Bonneville Speed Week, drivers in all kinds of racing classes will attempt to break land speed records on the salty terrain. Take in whirlwind heats by day and let Wendover Will wave you back into Nevada by night. Speed races have been happening on the Bonneville Salt Flats since 1912. Speed Week remains a popular draw, bringing competitors and spectators from around the world. Hot rods, motorcycles, diesel trucks, and more will “shoot the salt” in an attempt to get their name added to the land speed record books. As long as weather and course conditions are favorable, Speed Week attendees can watch one adrenaline-packed race after another.
